On an immediate and intimate scale, the community’s end-of-street location makes for living with minimal traffic. On a larger scale, being located at the head of Lake Ontario is a position equivalent to an arterial hub – a quick drive to major highways and rail routes, walking distance to the multiple municipal bus stops at Maple Mall and cycling or walking distance to the Oakville GO station.
As of the 2011 census, there were almost a million people (960,000) living within about 20km of Lambs Court. At the same time, the city of Burlington had a population of only 184,000. That makes it a comparatively quiet centre surrounded by an enormous availability of resources.
